Great food and great place! Had their fried chicken sandwich and a brewmaster chicken sandwich.. Both were awesome! Their fries are great too!

Since moving to the Victoria area 3 years ago, Canoe has become my absolute favourite place to go. I’ve been to 3/4 of the restaurants, pubs, and craft breweries in the greater Victoria area, and this place comes on top for me. Any family members, or friends who come visit, I ALWAYS take them here and they are never let down by the hype I bring up about it before. The building couldn’t be any cooler or more beautiful, old brick with lots of history, the staff have gone above and beyond and I don’t say that lightly. They have fantastic beer that they brew on location (I’m a beer nut), and the food is amazing and constantly fantastic. You can literally order anything in the menu and have a 99% chance it’s going to be amazing. A must if you like historical architecture, delicious beer, and tasty inspiring food.

Great large and beautiful patio. One of the best in town but heating is lacking a little so being a warm sweater. Food is slightly better than the average pub.

Decent Food, Beer is great, friendly staff. Be careful with parking, a pass is required as the parking get packed real fast. I would go back for the patio.

Good food, good drinks and great patio. Service was the biggest let down. Despite there being plenty of staff and few tables it took forever to even get our order taken. Upon ordering a Moscow mule we were told we had to pay regular price as they were out of the Sunday special premade. Our food ended up coming before our drinks and came without cutlery which was disappointing on such a cold evening with no heater near by, after waiting I got up to ask one of four girls folding cutlery for some myself. At that point I asked to cancel my drink order however it still came and we were charged. Everyone was nice however I won’t be quick to come back.

Great staff, but don’t eat anything until you have cut into it or you will be charged full price. Fish and chips were greasy and chips over salted. I ate the inside of the fish and left the rest....therefore when I spoke to the waiter he said I had to pay the full price...which was about 4 mouth fulls. We have eaten here since it opened and today was a poor experience and we won’t be returning anytime soon for ourselves (local) or bringing guests. A shame.... we have enjoyed all our past dining experiences and has been our ‘go to’ place and supporting Local. Now it is our word of mouth, regrettably, to the negative.
