Great store, especially since they enlarged and modernized it. It can be crazy hard to find an employee if you need help, but otherwise I enjoy shopping here.

Lots of staff on hand, great selection and price of seasonal goods like plant pots and fertilizer!

It's as confusingly setup as any other Canadian Tire store. I highly discourage going to the auto centre as there are many small businesses with more knowledgable staff in town. The store itself is just like any Canadian Tire ever, but I find the staff are not very knowledgeable on the products. This is no bash against the staff, as they seem to be understaffed as I can almost never find a member when I need one. If I have a gift card for Canadian Tire I'll go here, but often I just make the trek to Walmart or buy online from the Canadian Tire website.

I had a disappointing experience a month or so ago. I tried to bring back a 3 month old Hoover extractor vacuum that quit working. One of the managers came and handed back the receipt to me and said "you only have 30 days to return this." She would have replaced the unit if she had one of the same, however in the time since I purchased the machine was replaced with the updated model. No suggestion, no offer of contacting the vendor to see if they can help, nothing. Now I'm out 200 on a 3 month vacuum. Way to stand behind your product. P.s. the sign on your front door says you will assist with any warranty claims. This was not attempted. I worked as a store manager for a pretty popular retail chain, so I don't buy the story that nothing can be done. Something can always be done. Vendors will issue a credit for the defective product 9 times out of 10. That 1 time out of 10 is the cost of retaining a customer. Seems customer service has gone out the window at this location. I make the drive to Port Hawkesbury or New Glasgow now. Better stocked and I find the staff in both locations much more engaged.

Expensive and poor service in both retail and auto service. Much better options in town.
