The ladies here are all volunteers and they are incredibly helpful. The array of equipment offered here is quite broad as well, you get a loan record and instruction guide with every piece of equipment/loan, and everything is technically free. It is presumed that you will donate to them if you've loaned equipment from them but i don't know if that is a ule\ or not.
WE have donated off and on for many years. But this time I needed to rent some equipment for my up coming hip replacement. We got what we needed and were happy. But returning home found out the walker I borrowed from my mom was to short . So I asked my husband to go back to the red cross and get the next size up . He took my mom's walker to know what size we needed. In the confusion of it all mom's walker was left behind. The next day he went back to get it and they said to bad it was considered a donation now. They weren't even willing to take a quick minute to look. We're feeling very disappointed with them.
