Good RV spot. Nice clean and quiet. Much better than some we drove by! Worth it.

Enjoyed our stay, staff friendly and sites are clean and well maintained. They observed the Covid protocol to make our stay safe. Will definitely recommend to our family and friends. Close to walking paths along the spit and to Discovery Harbour Shopping Centre.
Park is quiet enough but usual RV park cramming as many RVs as you can side by side no grass..all noisy gravel.. no fences hardly any trees... and the highest priced showers we've come across.. (we are true gypsies of BC for the last 5 years never in one spot more than a few months) 2 for every 5 min.. highest laundry also 3.25 a wash and 4 a dry and sometimes cloths still damp out if dryer.. and finally the WI-FI!!!! pay for wifi and still hardly can receive it.. fighting to use it constantly all day... Paid 75 for the first month to not have it work then 35 this month to have it work EXACTLY the same as the first month... I know the park is busy and lots of people but my god if your PAYING for it IT SHOULD WORK.. it's nothing but constantly repositioning our tv to opening the blinds making sure our two cellphones are not connected to try to get the one Roku tv to work it frustrates us IMMENSELY... But on a side note the other RVers are friendly great view of Discovery Passage and no highway noise... and beautiful bird /wetland sanctuary directly behind it for quiet morning walks.. and the plus is NO RIFF RAFF and that is always a bonus.. These of course are just all my personal experiences and opinions and each to their own.. have a nice day.
Campsite with half ocean view. They also have wifi.
We have now become first time full time RV'ers. We stayed at Thunderbird RV Nice place very peaceful, great reception checking in, staff very helpful and booked whale watching for me and wife and they went the extra mile for customer service by calling all whale companys for best price for us.i liked watching seaplanes land and taking off so close by.All facilities so clean and well maintained. This is not out in the bush camping its RV camping with all the extras like full serviced sites side by side RVing, views are amazing and wildlife in the estuary and watching big cruiseships passing at night kept us entertained.Wifi was excellent we purchased the Premium service 3 a day. After being out in the bush for 2 weeks dry camping the full service here and nice new laundry room and updated washrooms was a welcome treat!! We will be back next year.
We've stayed here now five times and we love these cottages! They are always super clean, quiet, and love the fact the kitchens are so well equipped no matter which cottage your in. The staff are very helpful and make you feel right at home. Highly recommend to anyone looking for deluxe accommodation on the water!
Lovely view of the Campbell River from one end of the campground. You would need to ask for a seaview as not all have one, if you want sea view. Our view was perfect. Friendly staff were very hospitable and booked our grizzly tour and were very informative. Lovely take out fish and chip just down the road we recommend also. Our campsite was looking towards ocean and plenty of space for our 38ft motorhome and tow SUV, our friends were on other end of RV park also with seaview and they loved it as well. Happy campers , great experience! Perfect for our 3 night stay.
Very busy place. Ocean view and River estuary behind site. Seaplane Base and helicopters near by.
