Phenomenal camp for girls. I was a camper, wow, almost 15 years ago, and as an alumni have loved seeing how they have continued to grow and evolve ever better camp experiences. As I have told many people since I was a camper, I attribute most of my self-confidence and ability to step out and try something new, to my days at camp.

My daughter loves this camp! The moment she gets home, she wishes she was back. It is such a special place - girls learn to mentor younger campers, develop leadership skills, and learn to be independent in a supportive environment. One of the best perks is that they are unplugged from social media and can just enjoy making friends and being in nature. I can't recommend this camp enough!!

This camp changed my life. If you have a daughter who you could send to Mi-a-kon-da, do not hesitate to do so! I learned so much, and gained a lifelong love of the outdoors and friends who have become sisters.

20 years after leaving Mi-A-Kon-Da, my camp friends are still my closest. Mi-A-Kon-Da is an incredible place for young girls to grow into themselves: learn and be challenged in a 100% supportive environment. The island is magical and the memories last a lifetime. No better place for a girl to spend her summers.

This was an amazing camp. I made a few amazing friends, and overall I had a great time! There were lots of activities, but my favourite part was going on \trip\, a canoe trip into the wilderness, sleeping in tents in the forest! I made so many memories there. (I even saw a moose!) The reason I gave it 3 stars was because of the food. Everyone there was saying how good the food was. I can imagine it was good, but I'm gluten free, so I had different options. The gluten free foods were not that great- often they were completely different meals from the standard, so I felt left out from the rest of the people. Once, instead of a cake, I got a bowl of whipped cream with berries and chocolate chips thrown inside! (lol i don't like whipped cream XD) And sometimes, like for example at breakfast, the gluten free cereal was chocolate flavoured, while the standard cereals were not. So, all the normal food people went to the chocolate, and I didn't get there in time, and I didn't get much of a breakfast. :( Also, along the pathways, there are roots sticking out EVERYWHERE, and I hurt my ankles quite a few times because of them. But most of the staff care about your well-being, and are pretty nice.
