I started dancing at Cameron Dance Academy as a young adult student of 21, which was quite the challenge. Miss Cameron, the faculty and the students were incredibly welcoming - the studio quickly became my second home and everyone within it like a second family. The vision of Cameron Dance Academy provides a solid foundation upon which students can build their artistic and technical abilities, which will serve them throughout their training and into their careers. Dancers spend so much of their time training, it is imperative they can do it in a positive and supportive environment, which is precisely what Cameron Dance Academy provides for every student. I have had many opportunities to perform as an amateur and take my Vocational exams over the years as a result of my training, but most importantly, I just love to dance. The positive imprint the studio leaves will undoubtedly underpin the success of every student that walks through the doors.

Cameron Dance Academy is where it all began for me! As a young child aspiring to become a ballerina I started training with Ms Cameron. I was taught not only the skills & techniques of ballet but the mindset, resilience, imagination, and professionalism one needs to possess in order to become a successful ballet dancer. I eventually went on to audition for the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School where I spent several years training before being hired by the company. I have danced professionally with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet company for the past ten years and got to enjoy rehearsing, performing, touring, as well as working with many other artists and choreographers around the world. Without my initial training at Cameron Dance Academy my dreams would have never come true. The support, education, and love I’ve received have been invaluable and absolutely incredible. Thank you, thank you, thank you! This will be the right place if you are looking to dance just for fun and light enjoyment, to prepare for dance competitions with your friends, or to train seriously to audition for ballet companies in the future. I started dancing at Cameron Dance Academy probably back in 2008 & honestly was the best experience i had dancing at a studio. Before I came to Cameron Dance Academy, I had been in between a couple studios that I really did not thrive at. It was a hassle to find a good studio where the teachers were kind, respectful, & encouraging & a positive environment that not only i felt comfortable in but also loved & had the potential to grow in. After I made the switch here, I stayed dancing until i graduated. I completely most of my RAD examinations with them as well as competed in all sorts of competitions. I completely fell back in love with dance at this studio and it has not left me, even after 16 years of dancing. Their motto is “teaching the love of dance, that lasts a lifetime” & I can confidently say that they achieve their goal in this.
An incredible dance studio!! The teachers are kind and professional and amazing with the students. I would recommend them to absolutely anyone ️️ They've been dealing COVID's changing protocols with beauty and grace
I spent 14 years dancing at Cameron Academy. The studio was like my home and the staff was like family. I learned far more than just dance during my time there and I credit so much of who I became to the people who taught me. I am proud to give them my highest recommendations.
