Wonderful experiences with the staff at this location. They are super friendly and helpful and it's clear they have a lot of love for the animals in their care. I recommend visiting them for all your adoption needs!

Our adoption experience with the Cambridge Humane Society was incredible, friendly and thorough. The adoption counselor Amber, was responsive, reassuring and really educating. We adopted an 8 week old kitty and Amber was able to educate me, and answer all of my questions in a personal and friendly manner. So far, our kitten has been so social and friendly - couldn't have been happier with the process of adopting and with our newest family member.

My adoption experience was so wonderful. The adoptions team were so passionate about their work, very responsive, supportive, and helpful in matching our family with the right dog. We are so happy with our experience and our new 8 year old doggo fits right in to our pack. Thank you for your inspired work!

Was able to take care of our 2 dogs tags from within our car out front of their place. Their sign posted on the door makes us conscious of their fight against COVID-19. An attendant brought out the debit machine so we could pay. Even bought a ticket for their upcoming lottery draw. Nice knowing the extra monies go directly to their workplace upkeep and animal care.

I had been thinking for awhile about adding a kitty to our family. We have a small dog who unfortunately is very timid and doesn't socialize well with other dogs so a kitty seemed like a better choice. I knew I wanted to adopt, not shop, and really didn't want a kitten when there are so many adult cats out there who are desperate and worthy of a forever home. So I sent a quick email to the Humane Society inquiring about another cat on their website. I heard from Amber the next day. What a sweet, bubbly, kind and caring lady she is. You can tell she was a genuinely concerned and dedicated employee. While she was happy I was interested, of course her main concern was for the animals and making sure they were going to responsible homes. She sent me an application form (no, they do not just give animals to anyone and rightly so!) And after a few technical difficulties (all on my end), I filled it out and sent it back. And she does her due diligence for the rescues by contacting my references and after getting my permission, even phoned my vet to make sure my dog was up to date on his vaccinations. I was thoroughly impressed with both her and the organization as a whole in the work they are doing to give these forgotten and deserted animals who all deserve love and a safe place to live and be happy. Unfortunately for me but fortunately for him, Monty, the kitty I first took interest in, got adopted before I could meet him but everything happens for a reason and along came my Maize. And it was meant to be. So if I could give more stars I would. If you are looking to add a pet to your family please consider a rescue but Amber and the Cambridge Humane Society in particular. We are so pleased with our Maize and want to thank sincerely Amber and the shelter for all their help. Remember.....adopt..... don't shop!! I promise you won't regret it Tracy Shields
