Do not get Vivint if you expect any decent customer service. My thermostat stopped working 4 days ago and they said that they would Fedex a new one overnight. I still haven't received it and it still goes below freezing at night. Their wonderful technician Jonathan (5 stars!), who came to install it for me last night a) arrived before I even got my thermostat b) had a whole truckload of thermostats c) was in and out in 5 minutes. If only they had a local emergency number where they could send some out in a reasonable time frame, all of the stress could have been avoided...

I’ve been with vivent for 2.5yrs now and it is the worst system we have ever had. A complete waste of money since day one, and yet we’re still stuck in a contract for 2 more years, what a joke. First it started off with the initial install the technician drilled through wiring at our front door that blew our breaker and ruined lines to the outlets at the front of our house, this cost us 200 to get an electrician to fix, with no discount or apology even given, even though they admitted he did that when the new install guy saw what happened. Our camera and microphone don’t work half the time. They used outdated sensors that were in the doors from previous owners instead of replacing them during the initial install, so when they stopped working they made us pay for new ones because it wasn’t done the first time (which would have been included). Our sensors are constantly not working and there’s delays randomly with our doorbell. I honestly just stopped calling them for help because they talk to us like we’re idiots and then after over an hour on the phone, they end up having to send a technician anyway to fix problems that just start up again! I hope other people have had better experiences, I honestly never write reviews but for a 4300 contract it’s a waste of time and money!!!

We bought the condo we are in. There was a Vivnt system already in place. Called for a tech to come check system out and give us a course on how to use the system. He arrived and thoroughly checked the system and repair a fault. He then took the time to instruct me in the system and how to use it. The tech was friendly, very knowledgeable and even provided his direct line in the event of any issues. We have had no problems with any of the features, cameras, glass breakage , door trips and motion detectors. I would recommend this system to anyone looking for a reliable alarm system.

I’ve called 3 times now and still waiting on hold the first call had multiple people in the back ground talking laughing then I kept saying hello. And then hung up on me after 13 mins on hold second call 15 mins later after I was told it would be 12 mins and then James answers the phone tells me he’s pulling my file up waited 3 min then hung up on me. Here’s the 3rd time trying as we speak... Glad I’m canceling. Final person I spoke with was good but it was to late at that time.
