Simon Potter

One of the hidden gems of Calgary and about as close as your going to get to an authentic English pub. Its is a comfortable and relaxed pub off the main road. A good place to spend time to chat with friends and take in a game or read a book. A good selection of beers and food on the menu. Staff are friendly and unobtrusive.

Very food food. Cozy little place and I think the owners were the ones serving us early Saturday. Will be coming back for sure. We shared the onion rings and wow soo good. I had the Shepard’s pie which was amazing and tasted homemade. My wife had the halibut fish and chips and they were very good as well. Thanks guys. Will come back. Especially in summer to have a nice home cooked meal in backyard with our pups.

My wife's chicken club was very tough could not bite it off, tried a steak knife but still difficult. We both had a salad which was good. I had a BLT and the rye bread was not fresh. Service was fine a long with our drinks.

can't wait til the world gets back to normal so I can go back to Calgary and get me some Dog & Duck. John, Mary and Kayla are absolutely amazing and I miss the down home hospitality and atmosphere. Best wings in all of YYC !

4 of us dined here, and we all enjoyed our meals. Would definitely recommend the pickle fries. Prices are quite reasonable. Fish and chips, burgers, wraps and fish tacos were all really good. Generous portions too!

The Dog n' Duck is a local gem, hidden in a very gross area of the city. But once you enter the doors of this cool old house/building you can feel the warmth. Food here is amazing, best pub fish and chips going. Staff are always crazy friendly and know the way to my heart with a well poured pint of Guinness. Will be spending countless hours at the bottom of a pint here this Holiday season.
