I would actually give you guys 5 stars! Ordered take out a few times and was missing sides more times than once. Mistakes can happen, next time I will be sure to check to see everything is there. Love the food! Best seafood in Calgary.

Service was nice but apparently you need a reservation to eat here instead of walking in off street due to Covid procedures. Not information on website about that prior to going. Food is pricey for seafood but worth the experience and flavour. Highly recommend the Seafood rice as it is a great mix of items. Out of stock on some sides on a Saturday evening left us shaking our heads when ordering. We ordered pirate combo B to give us a good sampling of the menu items with a pitcher of sangria. For came out in stages which allowed us to keep eating hour food. Staff were attentive and kept adding your on how to better enjoy our first experience. Restaurant was clean and many precautions in place to protect staff and customers including temperature checks at door. Only thing that we disliked was the fact that they do not purge the seafood prior to cooking. Big veins in the shrimp were discouraging when eating the food. Shrimp was overcooked making it difficult to peel off shell. See picture attached pictures. Overall good experience and look forward to bringing our kids next go around. Observed many of the other dishes off the menu and peaked our interest for next visit.

My boyfriend and I were very excited to try this restaurant both being seafood lovers, but we were highly disappointed with our experience. After being seated, it took 15 minutes for anyone to even greet us and take our drink order. My boyfriend finally had to wave someone down, and explained that it was our first time eating there and we needed a little help with the menu. The server said she would be back, but instead a few minutes later a very unhelpful, impatient male server came to our table and was extremely short with us hardly answering our questions. I ended up choosing a random menu item because the server seemed more irritated with every question I asked. I had hoped that the food might make up for the awful first impression. I was wrong. My boyfriend’s seafood rice dish was nothing more than rice soaked in oil, and my shrimp seafood boil was extremely underwhelming in terms of flavour. The shrimp hadn’t been purged so I quickly lost my appetite picking between eyes and veins. The combination of the awful service and horrible food has put the Captain’s Boil on my personal blacklist. In the middle of a pandemic the staff can’t try a little harder to retain customers? I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. Why spend 60 at a restaurant like this when you can go to McDonald’s and at the very least get some respect and walk away with something edible? I would highly recommend retraining the staff at the Calgary location. One star is very generous.

My second time eating here and wow it’s delicious, everything was super good. The staff were also fast with the food. We’ll probably come back here again next week.

I would give zero star for this restaurant - I called in to reserve a table and I was told that they don't take reservations and its first come first serve basis. When we got there they put us in a corner while there are many tables open, telling me that they are reserved. If that is the case then why was I told that its first come first serve basis. IN ADDITION TO THAT THE MANAGER WAS GIVING ME ATTITUDE AS IF THIS IS THE ONLY RESTAURANT IN CALGARY TO GO EAT. Will never go to this place and i recommend everyone to go somewhere they are respected and worth paying for the service.

Had a recent experience same as the people below - I called in to reserve a table and I was told that they don't take reservations and its first come first serve basis. When we got there they put us in a 45 minute wait list while there are many tables open, telling me that they are reserved. If that is the case then why was I told that its first come first serve. IN ADDITION: THE MANAGER WAS GIVING ME ATTITUDE Will never go to this place if customer service is lacking and i recommend everyone to go somewhere worth paying for the service.

This place is my number one restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I like it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to this restaurant. when I feel like having a fair meal, this place comes first to my mind. superb and diverse food and a rich menu.courteous crew, and pleasant ambience. In addition to that, the expence is affordable. I recommend this place with no hesitation.
