Not great customer service. Hard to get a phone call answered, and there is always a gigantic line up. They are unclear with communication. There is one blonde lady (at window 6 I believe) who is ridiculously rude and unprofessional. Every time I’ve spoken to her in person or on the phone she is condescending and rude. It’s a shame because there are 3 other employees (at windows 2, 3, and 7?) who are very nice and helpful. The road test examiners are great.

Worst registry in Calgary. The staff are so rude and unprofessional. I want to know how these people got hired to get a customer facing role. If you hate your job so much that you disrespect customer, Quit! I am sure there will 100 people lined up to take your job. Treat people the same way you want to be treated. Also, every time I have gone here, they seem to have some technical issues i.e. computer break down, camera break down, roof is leaking, etc. etc.

My last experience was not so bad. The employee who helped me was at the very least respectful: When I asked to take a picture of my ID renewal document I was told I am not allowed to take pictures of my own information for my “protection” however, my reason for wanting the picture was for my protection. This is important because of a past experience described below. the employee that got my address wrong after myself and another person checked it and then lied to us about it still is worth the 1 star. Especially because instead of correcting it, they wanted to charge me the total amount again to fix it. When I agreed to pay for another ID after a refund of the original as they had messed up the employee helping me adopted a nasty attitude and told me that refunding it would essentially be “canceling my license” They even went as far as pretending to call some “official” and came back to say the same thing in a nastier tone. I asked to see the original copies of the paperwork and i was told it was “in Edmonton” and that there was no way that was Happening. I walked over to AMA and told them what happened. They reordered my ID at no charge and educated me all about the process. Essentially, Shawnessy registry tried to pull a “fast one” and thought they could take advantage of me because I was young at the time.

The person behind the door seems to be uninformed, always asking for things that have nothing to do with it, and the people at the desk are not well trained since they are always going to ask this person. I have heard very bad comments about this registry. People prefer Mackenzie's or Chinnok's

This is seriously the busiest registry and I've never seen more than 4 people working at a time, even though they have 7 tils available. Just hire some more people! There is literally always a gigantic line! The staff are fine, not overly nice or overly rude just doing their job. Luckily they're pretty quick at it.
