Phenomenal school with phenomenal instructors. Sensei Sarah and Sifu Jay are business partners, but they could also be considered parents to this family they have created. Each brings their strengths to the table and compliments the other. They create an inclusive and open environment where people are free to be themselves and come together to learn not only about martial arts, but also themselves. Now from a personal side, Esteem/HAVOC is the only place in Calgary that offers catch-as-catch-can wrestling and the instruction is phenomenal. Jay takes you through what works and omits the garbage that won't. He makes wrestling come alive in a unique way that I have not seen duplicated. He cares about his craft and cares to preserve its legacy. What you get goes beyond the amateur style and omits the theatrics of sports entertainment; it's wrestling at its core: powerful, unrestrained, civilized. As a lifelong wrestling fan and as someone who's looking to compete at some open events at the ripe old age of close to 40, I trust elements of my training solely to Jay and \Bulldog Catch\. I wholeheartedly recommend this program and hope you take the time to check it out whenever you can. You will not be disappointed.

Fantastic facility that's well run, motivating, energetic, and kid/youth/adult friendly. My daughter participated for a few years in their Little Dragons, regular karate classes, and some competition classes. I continue to participate in fitboxing. There's ample room and classes are safely spaced out. I recommend giving them a try!
I have been training here for over half a year. I never felt that I don't want to go. Jay and Sarah are so fun and they make training here a joy. The culture of this place makes it a breeze to always show up. The training itself toned my body and helped me maintain my summer weight throughout the winter. It's beautiful. These people deserve a whole temple of trainees. Thank you, Kristine and Braedan.
