Grant was professional and amazing to work with. I reached out to him to complete a flight review for advanced operations for my drone and he walked me through the steps over the phone. I then signed up for his Advanced Flight Review Prep Course (highly recommend!) Which was easy to navigate and learn the concepts. I then booked the exam a few weeks later and had to even reschedule last minute which Grant graciously agreed to do. He responds to his phone and email in a timely manner and is very friendly. His service is also affordable to all the other options I found out there which made him the perfect choice. I'm a leisure drone pilot with no prior experience and would highly recommend Grant at Calgary Drone Academy to anyone out there!
This course was amazing! I just wanted to learn more about drones and attempt my advanced license exam. This was for recreational/personal use, I do not work in the drone industry. I was overwhelmed with what the internet told me I needed to know so I hunted for a class to help me along. I was blown away with what you need to know for that test and what was taught to me in the two day course. This course was worth every penny and minute I spent on it. Grant was knowledgeable, professional, fun and thorough. The course was well laid out and even though there were slides it most certainly wasn’t a just read from the screen scenario. Grant’s past experiences both personal and professional helps add to the flavor of the class as well as offer a vast knowledge of aviation and drones. If you’re wanting to take either the basic or the advance license test, or even just want to learn more about aviation and drones, take this class. 11/10!!!
I recently took the 2 day Instructor Led Advanced - Drone Ground School Course. Grant did an amazing job of covering the material required for the Exam as well as effectively answered our questions and provided resources to further our knowledge and preparation. I'm happy to say I passed on my first attempt! Thanks again to Grant and Calgary Drone Academy.

Grant is an instructor that is very knowledgeable and has years of experience. The course is very informative and if you’ve never flown a drone before the ground and flight training makes it easy enough for a beginner to be successful. The prices are excellent as well. Anyone interested in drone flying needs to sign up here. You won’t be disappointed.
