Went here for the first time, had the brisket, cornbread and honey butter, and the deep fried pickles. The brisket was super good with the bull mild sauce and the honey, the cornbread was incredible and the deep fried pickles were tasty. Also had a Last Tokyo Drift, which was delicious. Sat at the bar and our server was the bartender who was super amazing, personable and quick. Highly recommend this place, can’t wait to come back and try out the patio.

I took my wife and kids to Comery Block a few months ago and ever since, it has been our go-to restaurant. The food is so fresh and tasty. The cocktails are also just a plus. Every time we go there the quality never changes. Definitely one of my favourite restaurants!
If you want to have a good time eating Tennessee style BBQ, drink your beer or whiskey in a very nice place, The Comery Block is your place! The brisket or chicken wings with a whole variety of flavour are awesome, as well as the great customer service. We found a delicious place to eat! Talk to Ben, he is the manager and is going to make you feel in the best place ever! Spend sometime trying everything in the menu, it's difficult to say what is the best one! Nice people, nice place, wonderful meat, great beer! On the 17th Avenue in Calgary, The Comery Block is the best choice from all in the neighborhood! And the downtown location respects the masks exceptions bylaw.
Tonight was a breath of fresh air. Literally and figuratively. COVID aside I’m blessed to have the ability to go out and enjoy some social atmosphere. But tonight Marissa and supporting staff made for an awesome night. She was really attentive to our table. She always brought new waters. Had great recommendations and was open to showing the most expensive bottle in the place. All around food was amazing and service even better. Thank you !!!
The food here was excellent! When compared to the last time we went to Hayden Block, the pork belly was sauced perfectly, and the brisket was tender and moist. We've never gone wrong with the cornbread and the ribs, though we may not get the beans again (the broccoli salad is much better). Our only down side was how long it took to get drinks and how often our server came by to check on us. If it was busier, we would have understood, however, the place was half empty. It could have just been a one off, though; we're hoping it'll be better next time.
Definitely will be back! All the smoked meat is amazing the pork bites are deadly a must every time and lots of whisky selection
I have eaten at Comery Block over a dozen times and the food is typically very good. However, tonight, I ordered "collard greens" on door dash (which I have eaten at Comery Block plenty of times) and received a raw kale salad with some sauteed bacon on top. The kale was almost inedible as the rib of the kale had not been removed from the leaves. This was not a case of being given the wrong item, as the box had "collard" written on it. I totally understand if a restaurant runs out of collard greens and has to pull the dish from the menu for the night, but please do not serve kale (bad kale at that) disguised as "collard greens". Will go back, but was disappointed as this is typically one of their best side dishes.
Huge whisky selection! Best brisket in town, never had one like that before, juicy af. Ribs are okay, but the pulled pork was awesome. I had some wings to start and they brought me some medium by mistake and they were veryyy spicy, just so you know. Good beer on draught. The atmosphere was nice, and the bar is stunning.
