One of the most friendly experiences I’ve had at a new restaurant! They did a fabulous job explaining everything in relation to food and Covid regulations. The food was delicious!

It was my first time dining here and had high expectations because of the amazing reviews and recommendations that this restaurant has garnered from different online review platforms. The moment I walked into the dining area, my senses were welcomed and enticed by the whiff of savoury and appetizing aroma. The ambiance was very welcoming with just the right amount of lighting and enough space between diners to conform with the city’s social distancing regulation. They have a wide array of selections (but not overwhelmingly intimidating) of meat, seafood, noodles, vegetables and a few selections of soup base. I settled for the in-house mild broth and the level of spiciness was just right for me. In retrospect, I should have chosen a more neutral broth like the pork and chicken so I could have enjoyed all the meat and seafood and noodles without them being overpowered by the intense and rich seasoning of the soup I have chosen. A few selections of pre-plated sauces and herbs for everyone to help themselves to were on a buffet table in the middle of the restaurant but pre-COVID days, I’m sure they have more selections like any other hot pot places. While the quality of broth and food items were first rate and I would agree that this is probably the best hot pot place in YYC. However, for the amount of money we paid for dinner, I left the restaurant still a little hungry even though we ordered another round of food. I’ve heard that they used to have an all-you-can-eat option and that would have been worth it. I would definitely come back here again if I’m craving hot pot purely because of the high quality of their food selections.

Went in and the waiter asked if it’s our first time and we said yes. She explained the menu and left. Waited for more than an hour and no one came to check on us. Went up to the waiter at the counter and explained the situation and she said ok and nothing happened. The place wasn’t that busy. People that came in after us got their food and started eating and the only thing in front of us was water. Any hungry person would be irritated.

Hot pot was amazing! Service was impeccable, everything about this place screams “let’s go back”. Especially on a cold winter night, this place hits the spot every time. Amazing selection of meat/veggies, amazing sides and the place was beyond clean. Thank you for making us feel at home and most importantly, safe! Can’t wait to go back.

Update: formerly AYCE, but has adopted a flat price per plate model. Pro: you no longer feel the need to eat as much as possible to "get your money's worth". Con: if you're like me and tend to eat more than a usual meals worth of food, you'll be spending more money than you did in the past. They also removed the cold appetizers from the sauce bar which is disappointing. Pretty good Chinese hotpot where each person gets their own individual small pot. There's a variety of soups to choose from, all very savory. The spicy soup was not as spicy as I had hoped though. The menu of items is very large with different meats, seafood, vegetables, noodles, desserts, and cold side dishes. Weekends costs slightly more but opens you up to a few additional items that I highly recommend: screaming beef, fresh mashed shrimp, and boneless duck feet. The sauce bar was also well stocked with oils, sauces, herbs, and spices. Everything tasted fresh. For dessert, I recommend the golden fried bread.
