Great and interesting place. Important history spot for those who are interested in learning about underground railroad. I just wish they did more preservation though. It's sad to see farming lands took over. But that's what it is.

You will learn more in one visit here than you will in all of elementary & high school. Fascinating and terrifying all in one. Truly amazing that within a year all the white families wanted their children to receive the best education at the black school thus forcing the all white school to close. I highly recommend this tour.

I didn't get to go inside because it was already closed for the evening, but when I visited at dusk, it is was a perfect evening dusk in a beautiful rural setting. There are lots of historical markers and interpretive exhibits outside so I get a sense of what the settlement was like. An important location in the history of settlement of settlers from the Underground Railroad. Worth a visit.

Lovely historic gem. Thank you for honoring this place and keeping history alive. I appreciate the curator spending time to answer or questions but also giving us time to explore on our own. Lots of artifacts and information I had no idea existed in this part of the world.
