Man am I glad I'm moving in up the street. Went in today because I heard from some locals this is the place to go for bacon. Was not disappointed. Clean and very well run front of house. Kind friendly service. We will be back!

How animals live and die for our consumption is important to me. LL Meats knows ALL of the farmers they get their animals from - small mom and pop farms where calves stay with their mothers for most of a year and consume all of the milk, chickens that get to go outside (weather permitting up north), peck and get plenty of range and freedom, pigs that are not penned and are fed all natural feed, grass fed cattle. The meat comes from all small operations, including Hutterite farms, and LL Meats brings in products that a town of our size would never get, because they have had relationships with these farmers for years and years. The animals are humanely killed at the farms, with zero transport and associated stresses. None are factory farmed. I have many vegan and vegetarian friends who have a different line in the sand for their choices. I eat meat sparingly (probably 85% vegetarian) and this is the line in the sand for me at this time in my life. All of this being said, if you do eat meat, LL Meats' products are delicious. The juniper bacon (with juniper and black pepper) is the best bacon I have ever had, bar none. Great cooking advice, and they do meals there during the day as well, with a liquor license for those who imbibe. And it's clean and roomy. And the gluten free cookies don't feel like an 'I have to eat these' cookie.

My wife and I are in town with another couple for our staycation in BC. We went to LL's on recommendation after being underwhelmed by what they had at the Independent. Our goal was to have a great BBQ, and Lee made sure we did. I ordered 2 NY Strips, each an inch thick, and some hot cappacola. The owner was very friendly and we talked a bit about life before Vancouver as he rung us up. On the drive home the 4 of us finished the cappacola. It was exceptional. I've had so many kinds over the years but this one had that perfect melting fatty finish you rarely get to experience with cold cuts. We fired up the grill and did the steaks at 450 for 4 minutes on each side. This gave us a perfect medium rare, and every single bite was delicious. No marinade, just salt and peppercorn. Had to write about it before we go back to Vancouver.

A great asset to our community. Really important to know where your meat comes from and the quality of their farming. Love their beef, chicken and bratwurst plus their pepperoni and red wine salami is incredible like I've never tasted before. The salami is made on premises. Great customer service too!

High quality natural tasting meats. I especially love their herb crusted bacon, I’ve never had bacon so Natural and fresh. Their pepperoni is like no other. Rib eye steak is delicious. I also like their smoked chicken wings.
