Definitely somewhere you could get lost in the nostalgia. Christmas is beautiful here Santa makes an appearance and you can take your own pictures. Very interesting visiting the old times if your into that. Come back in the summertime when you can enjoy it all with the weather on your side. Little ones will get a kick out of the trains and many activities put on by the city of Burnaby.

As interesting as a museum should be, just depends if it’s your thing

It was my first time coming here with friends that were from Japan. This was in December 2020 and it makes me sad that I won't be able to see this place over Christmas. It's really beautiful with the Christmas lights and the old carousel. My friend loves trains and the volunteers there were such good storytellers. We learned a lot about Vancouver's history and had a wonderful time exploring the village. I highly recommend this place and hope to visit it again soon.

First time at Christmas and thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Even went on the carousel and enjoyed the humour from the operators. A must do for a family.

Nice to see the older days, good to take kids or just go for a nice walk thru. You can also buy lunch and that looked so good!

Need something to do with your children? Day cares, camps, school classes, or your own kids, the Burnaby Village Museum is a place to go. It's free admission. That's right, free! There is history telling, nature sights, flowers, to historical buildings museum, carousel (supposedly it's a 4-minute ride) to cafe / ice cream parlour. Go for the full feeling and buy your food here to keep this place running free admission. It's open from Tuesday to Sundays, and only open on Mondays if it's a statutory holiday if I recall. Will make sure I take a photo next time am there. The place is predominantly run by volunteers which am impressed with. The actors/actresses dress the part and know their stuff on what they are talking about.

A wonderful museum showing a real people's life and Canadian town a century ago. You can enjoy and learn how Burnaby city had been settled as well. Especially, this museum is good to come with your children for a small hiking.
