Just popped in today for some paints, he's out of a few I needed which isn't surprising for the times we're in. I was told when the next shipment is expected so will pick them up when they are in. I don't mind waiting instead of using Amazon or the like, need to support our hobby shops as not as many are left compared to when I was younger. I had a few questions regarding airbrushing techniques and Dave answered them and gave me some tips. I also asked about a specific model I was looking for, he found it and ordered it for me! I've tried out most of the shops in the metro Vancouver area and find the best service as well as all the odds and ends I need right at Burnaby Hobbies.

One of the only rare real hobby shops in the greater Vancouver area. If you are looking for hobby supplies this place has it all. Plastic and wood models of all kinds, rockets, Airplanes, RC vehicules, and remotes, moters, books and toys. They also carry an impressive selection of tools from aibrushes to precision pliers and everything in between. For the scratch modelers, all you need is here, balsa wood of every shape, styrene, metal tubing and more. I have never seen such a huge selection of glues. The paint selection is also excellent. It's the kind of store where you have to take your time to look around because there are little treasures everywhere, either in a corner on the floor, sitting on the counter or hanging from the ceiling. They don't specialize in model trains but have a few items to get you out of a bind. The shop is operated by the owner and he is very knowledgeable. He knows all the kits going back many years and is an invaluable resource if you are into model making. They can also do special orders. This hobby shop is one of only two stores in Canada listed on the Zoukei-Mura/SWS website. Bring your kid if you want to get them away from their tablets and into the real world of hobbies.

Have not been into building models for years now, but with covid I thought what the heck?! As soon as I walked in I new why this place had so many 5 stars. Dave was friendly and has an answer for every question I had, and there was every Plane, Boat, Tank, Truck, and Motorcycle you could think of!!! I walked away with a 66 Nova and a Millennium Falcon, and eventhough he was sold out of the starter tool kit from over the holidays he bundled everything I needed and even gave me a discount!!!!! Great guy, great shop, and looking forward to coming back!!! Thanks again Dave!!!!!!

Great service and the owner was very helpful and friendly. Helped me pick out the perfect model boat to give as a Christmas gift.

Emailed the shop to ask if they carried the paints I needed. Got a quick response of yes. When I went in, Dave had the paints packed and ready to go! Excellent service.
