Went in to try the chicken sandwich as I’ve seen a ton of hype about it over the last year and a bit. I wanted to try it a year ago when it was the talk of the town, but didn’t, and I’m not mad about it. The sandwich itself was nothing special. The chicken didn’t taste seasoned, I tasted batter and a lot of oil. I ordered the regular, but ended up with the spicy somehow. Even if it was supposed to be spicy, it wasn’t anywhere near. I know this is fast food.. but I felt terrible after eating this thing. Battered, unseasoned, greasy chicken.. I don’t recommend trying the new sandwich. If you’re craving something similar for a similar or cheaper price get a spicy chicken from Wendy’s. 2 stars because the staff were friendly, but 2 stars as well because the food was trash.

I went to Popeyes after almost a year due to covid and this was the closest location. I ordered a Chicken Sandwich like I used to last year. I got home and saw that they changed the sandwich drastically and removed the tomatoes and lettuce as well as a big chicken piece and replaced the good bread with a soggy, small bun. The 'new' sandwich is nothing less than a horror story. I'm attaching photos of what the 'new and improved' sandwich looks like. Absolutely disgusting with the pickles added to an EXTREMELY OILY, small chicken piece. This is probably the worst sandwich by far. Wendy's sandwich is better than this and costs less. I'm extremely disappointed. Don't think I'll be returning to popeye's ever again if they plan on selling that trash of a sandwich for 7-10. Not worth the money unless you like eating extremely oily chicken. Adios popeye's. You're off my good list after this disaster sandwich addition.
Chicken tenders good, and only good. Go for the chicken, throw out everything else - worthy. Everything else, was soggy, limited flavour, and the portions were disappointingly small for the price paid. Bottled water, don’t even bother. They upsell you a 1.5 a bottle without advising you, even though a drink is included with the a combo. If you’re dedicated on going to Popeyes look at going to an entirely different location, or value-for-dollar just order ahead online on Skip the Dishes. I will not be returning to this location. Down the line, when Business Insider writes the review called “the Rise and Fall of Popeyes in North America” this will be a prime example of the consequences of fast growth of a franchise - overpriced, food quality control issues, limited lower cab options, brand inconsistency, and poor customer experience.
I prefer this location because their food is always well cooked and well seasoned unlike some other locations. Workers are polite. Only flaw is I think they can keep their counters cleaner especially near the garbage and drink machines. Other than that they do a pretty good job.
I am sorry I have to do this but the staff should be more careful next time. First time in this location and first time I tried this chicken. And what a surprise. I will never come back to this place. There was a hair in the chicken and I found out after we took it home. Not worth it to come back
