Parish Ridge is a high-end barn which should be made an example of. I have been, nothing but impressed, with the service(s) my young girls have received. My girls have been provided excellent instruction, on the ground, working with horse(s), as well as in the saddle. Parish Ridge is priced comparably to other barns in the area but, refreshingly, the staff, the coaches, and the owners, (Natalie and James) are kind, knowledgeable and make you feel like a valued client. The owners have responded to any and all of my questions without delay whenever I've reached out to them. The coaches at Parish Ridge provide continuous progress reports via informal conversations, emails and even sharing videos to keep me updated on how my girls are progressing. My girls are reminded of their strengths, to build their confidence, but are told, gently and appropriately, of the skills that require improvement. Each rider develops individually and are encouraged to challenge their own limits at a safe and appropriate point of their development. Riders will advance to the next stage of their
iding journey\ when they are confident and comfortable doing so.The 'schooling fleet' at Parish Ridge include all kinds of different horses and ponies; big, small, slow, quick, lazy, energetic...but despite the successes and challenges this variety provides, each horse/pony being ridden is safe, sound, and healthy. My girls have learned to adjust their approach to suit each different horse and/or pony, which is an important requirement of a well rounded rider. Last but certainly not least, the facility at Parish Ridge is safe, clean and well maintained by the staff. It is a pleasure dealing with Parish Ridge; I have absolutely no concerns and would recommend Parish Ridge it to anyone.
