Bruce Trail Conservancy Reviews | Rating 4.7 out of 5 stars (5 reviews)

Bruce Trail Conservancy is located in Dundas, Canada on 55 Head St #101. Bruce Trail Conservancy is rated 4.7 out of 5 in the category non-profit organization in Canada. The Bruce Trail Conservancy (BTC) is a charitable organization committed to preserving a ribbon of wilderness, for everyone, forever. We care for the Bruce Trail, Canada's oldest and longest marked footpath. Running along the Niagara Escarpment in southern Ontario from Niagara to Tobermory, the Bruce Trail spans more than 890 km of main Trail and over 400 km of associated side trails. We are securing a permanent route for the Bruce Trail within a protected natural corridor by raising funds to preserve Niagara Escarpment land. We are one of Ontario's largest land trusts, responsible for the preservation of almost 12,000 acres of irreplaceable Niagara Escarpment landscape. Membership-based and Volunteer-driven We are driven by volunteers. We are governed by a Board of Directors and volunteers from 9 Bruce Trail Clubs are responsible for maintaining, stewarding and promoting the Bruce Trail. Over 1,500 volunteers donate their time and talents to the Bruce Trail Conservancy and its nine member Clubs. We are supported by ~10,000 members. Membership support ensures that the BTC can continue to provide safe, environmentally responsible, public access to the Niagara Escarpment for future generations.

The most worthwhile organization... working to “preserve a ribbon of wilderness” from Queenston to Tobermory. The staff are knowledgeable, personable, professional and passionate about their cause. If you hike the trail (or not) buy a membership/make a donation to support their efforts. Hiking, particularly in these unusual times, is a great stress reliever. Getting out in nature will improve your state of mind enormously.

BTC is a group of amazing people doing extraordinary things. The fact that we have about 1200 km of beautiful nature trails (including side trails) in our back yard is very special indeed! We should consider ourselves lucky.
