Been coming here for years, always a great experience here! I know that, unlike other mechanics, they will not take advantage of my lack of car knowledge to charge me for un-needed repairs.

I had a brake job done here about a year ago. (New rotors and pads) About a month or two ago I noticed my car would start to shake when braking at high speeds. It progressively got worse so I decided to bring it by for Lou to take a look, since he was the one who did my brakes. After taking a look at my brakes Lou calls and says the reason the car shakes is because all my rotors are warped and I need to replace all four, all over again! I hadn't even put 20,000 km on them. I asked how can that be when you had just done my brakes. He agreed that it was definitely premature, I then suggested that this should be covered under warranty and he said he would look into it. He calls me back saying only the front rotors would be covered because the brake calipers damaged the back ones! I asked how come the front ones are damaged as well if the front calipers were still fine? He could not answer this question. It became clear to me at this point that he had ripped me off with cheap/defective rotors and was hoping I would naive enough to pay him 1000 again to redo my brakes all over again. I was hoping he would have at least attempted to come up with an alternative to make up for the fact that his last brake job was defective. Instead it was almost as if he was trying to rub it in my face. I would advise anyone thinking of taking your car here to reconsider. I had been taking my car here for oil changes for the last couple of years and I guess I mistakenly started to trust the guy. Lesson learned. I and everyone I had referred to Lou will not be back. I'm sure there are some honest hardworking mechanics out there but he is definitely not one of them.
