When I called them, they requested my credit card details to book my reservation for the van. I paid all payments, and then they charged me extra the following day after returning the van. A few days later, they were some unauthorized transaction on my credit card. According to my credit card company, they attempted multiple times, but only two transactions went through. I have had my credit card for many years without any issue and never gave out my credit card details to anyone until they asked for it to book my van reservations. I firmly believe it’s whoever I spoke with made those fraudulent charges on my credit card. I WILL NEVER USE THIS LOCATION AGAIN. CHECK YOUR EMPLOYEES BACKGROUND FOR THEFT AND CRIMINAL CHARGES.

THIS IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF UHAUL I EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!! MANY INCONVENIENCES, VERY POOR COMMUNICATION SKILLS, NO WALK-THROUGH PRIOR TO HANDOFF OF VEHICLE, BROKEN/ILLEGAL HEADLIGHTS/TRAILER LIGHTS ON AUTOTRANSPORT NOT WORKING & THE 10FT TRUCK ITSELF, THE WORST EVER!!!! I WILL NEVER COME TO THIS LOCATION OF UHAUL EVER AGAIN. If I could give ZERO stars, I would give that rating. - Pre-booking months in advance and STILL having to wait in line past my 9:30 a.m. pickup appt, delaying my trip BY 2 DAYS!!! - This location DOES NOT do a walk-through PRIOR to key hand off because they told me “DUE TO COVID” on the phone which is UNPROFESSIONAL & IRRESPONSIBLE on their end. MY LIFE WAS PUT IN DANGER and my partner’s because they FAILED to do this (head lights, trailer lights, tail lights NOT WORKING!!!) - Even if you are in contact via phone & email with RSA to complain/notify them about the vehicle damages/stuff not working PRIOR to UHAUL giving the keys so they could track where I had uploaded multiple photos of proof because they couldn’t go over a walk-through prior to KEY HAND OFF!!!! - Having LOOSE chain and rusted/OLD ratchet straps to having to purchase 2 more because they only provided 2 straps for my 3000LB CAR! - Being transferred to multiple RSA/customer service reps because Uhaul 411 Main St N Brampton Manager is RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, will NOT apologize for THEIR store’s employees/MISTAKES, NOR provide you with a reimbursement of purchases you HAD to make because they provided you with a BROKEN/NOT SAFE TO DRIVE AT ALL 10ft truck AND auto transport even though your OWN LIFE was PUT IN DANGER. Can I also mention that she DID NOT apologize to me at ALL for ANY of my inconveniences. I urge everyone to NOT deal with any of their BS and VERY LOW customer service, LIES, and UNPROFESSIONALISM!!! I still have NOT heard back and it has been more than a week now.
Next time you rent from this location, make sure to take pics all around truck. I just returned the rented truck and employees tried to blame me for a damage in two places on vehicle. Lucky I had all pictures saved with time and location. Trucks should be checked before given to customers and before you accuse people you should have sufficient evidence. Check all trucks before leaving shop. This location puts a very bad name to uhaul service.
Terrible experience. We booked for a 10ft truck and upon picking up we wanted to get the 15ft the girl at the counter says they do not have whereas the lot was full of that and the worst part is that another customer just beside my counter wanted to get a cargo van without a reservation \walk in customer\ and they offered just infront of my face that they have 15ft for rent!! the girl working at the counter was very rude, no smile, no greeting. I dont know if she is happy with her job or what is she doing..no customer service..We right away went to their website and 15ft was showing available on their website for the same day and time! We showed to the girl and she said sure if you book online then we can give you that car but as walk in we cannot..we were just about to make the reservation and then the girl said to us that \oh you can make the reservation but we cannot give you the truck..you will get a call from our headoffice that we do not have that truck available\. I mean how does that even make sense as they do advertise that they would give 50 reservation guarantee if they do not have that truck..online showing available but counter they saying not?! They messed up my whole moving. We were not able to fit everything in that 10ft truck and had to rent another van to fit the remaining stuff at my home. OH and the other part is that they declined to let me keep the truck more than 4hours..I made the reservation for 4 hours on website but at counter I wanted to keep the truck a bit longer but they told me they would charge me 50/hour penalty?! when booking it showed the same amount regardless if i took the car for 2hrs or 8hrs or 10hrs..they were not willing to accomodate with anything. I hope the location see this message and act accordingly otherwise the location would not have a good reputation and will be losing a lot of customer. I work at a rental company as well and I know what could have been done properly in this situation. It was a total mess.
What a horrible and infuriating experience! We made a reservation for a moving truck over the phone with \Bruce\ who was very unhelpful and pushy to take billing information. He would not answer basic questions and seemed to be annoyed that we had questions at all. Bruce confirmed and guaranteed we would have our vehicle for the moving day. With one day notice we receive a call from U-Haul stating that the vehicle is no longer available and that there is no other options for us within 400km, not one single truck, van, trailer or anything which is absolutely ridiculous. What is the point of a reservation if you can't actually reserve a vehicle? We booked time off of work, and our house was sold and we were required to be out of the house on that day. So with ONE DAY notice we had to call every single truck rental/ moving company to find a better option, thankfully we found a company that can actually provide the service it promises. DO NOT USE U-Haul, it is an absolute joke of a company and they truly do not care about their customers. I am beyond disgusted with the lack of any professionalism. Avoid at all costs.
