Chartwell James Street is a warm, caring home away from home. The entire staff are welcoming, the food excellent and activities planned encompass a wide variety of interests to include everyone. We highly recommend this wonderful retirement residence.

Moved mom in, in the early summer of 2020. She has adapted quickly to the new life style and has already made a few friends. The part that is very important for mom is the food. She is gluten intolerant and the kitchen has gone above and beyond for her. The rest of the staff is also very caring and patient with the residents through this pandemic. We the family have peace of mind knowing that mom is not just a number. Thank you so much, James Street staff.

My mother moved to James Street during the COVID pandemic and was in quarantine for fourteen days. She was anxious about the move and concerned about the isolation. Staff at James Street were welcoming and very helpful with her questions and concerns. They continue to be patient and reassuring and Martha's visits during her quarantine were a highlight. Her one bedroom apartment is homey and comfortable and she enjoys the food.

Chartwell James Street is such an amazing home for my 95-year-old mother. Martha is the Retirement Living Consultant and does everything and anything to make life cheerful, happy, structured and busy for the residents. She is awesome, friendly and energetic. Rosalind is the Director who has kept COVID firmly out of the residence and has provided ongoing communication to the families about maintaining a safe and healthy environment. The nurses are so careful, diligent and attentive. All the staff continue to provide top quality care to the residents in spite of COVID fatigue. They are covering off for each other and being so thoughtful to the residents including my mother. So grateful that we found Chartwell James Street - thank you, team!

My experience so far with my parents moving into James St has been excellent. Especially considering the difficult times the staff has to work with. Martha and her staff are outstanding with doing whatever it takes to keep the residence happy and safe.
