I find people only post and rate when they encounter a problem. Sure, everyone has their bad days but definitely not a true reflection of who they are. I am simply posting today that in my 28 years of dealing with this same branch, I have always found the staff to be courteous and extremely helpful. I am sure there are plenty of customers like me who feel the same.

Had a new lady who gave benefit of doubt but, nope, 2 years later same confumbling (everyone knows who she is) It is not only her who now makes up own bank policies rules either. Generally speaking, the ones that were for a very long time are good and everyone loved Agnes. They new holier than thou incompetence is to be seen to be believed, they make up their own rules and bank policies while treating the customer with a who cares atitude!
I have banked with BMO several decades. Today I went to deposit cert chq and they had to verify, when I asked another girl Victoria to confirm that she knew me she said was standard practice, defending new girl Angela. Angela then said people forge cert cheques but I was only depositing and Victoria should have really stepped in to say, hey I know him. After calling bank to clear chq , she started answering questions for another client in the booth beside me. with another new girl beside her, even though this Angela was new herself. Trouble is that this trainee beside her already had a veteran employee assisting and did not need Angel to interject while not finishing dealing with me. When I asked to stamp my tax bill and she said she didn't have a stamp and would write (as legible as a grade school writing) until I said any bank stamp with name of Bank will work and she miracuylously had one in her desk. I finally explained how all this was rude and she got arrogant and defensive. Is this how they treat some one who has dealt with BMO for decades? Shame on them. I have good mind to close all accounts and go elsewhere. This branch is terrible now. I am going to call head office and write a few letters if this keeps up.
Closed my BMO bank of montreal account today. Had approx 5k in the account because that way I dodged the fees. Was not asked at all why I plan on leaving the bank... and better yet was charged a 7.50 fee for bank draft because the bank \didnt\ have 5k in cash available... 5k sitting in an account over 12 years it could have been invested. Ridiculous that I'm charged 11 dollars in fees if it dips below that amount. You're charging me to hold onto my money and invest my money... Going to a free chequing account with no minimums or restrictions. Will never look back as my investments grow. You're a great bank to invest in BMO. But I never want you charging me fees again.
When I recently decided to withdraw money from my account, it was hectic with verifying of my personal info. I had sour experiences with this branch in the past as well. Considering giving my business another bank.
