Warm and welcoming rabbi and congregation. During kiddush you get to sit with nice people and learn about each other. I love this place and always feel at home. BTW Cantor Ben Silverberg is wonderful too.

I first attended the Rosh is On 2017 I found it to be inspirational and found Rabbi Yossi to be a warm caring Rabbi and the Cantor also the same. I have come back for additional services and also enjoyed them. The members I have met have been friendly and welcoming, I have decided to keep going to Beth Torah and have bought a ticket to their fund raising event.

Magnificent Minds

The shul is a hub of activity for families in Toronto; there are hundreds of families who call this place home. Their Rabbi is warm, welcoming and dedicated to providing a family friendly and inclusive environment. We've been renting space in their hebrew school for 5 years and are amazed with the level of warmth they have shown us. The community has become a place of acceptance and inclusion. We were excited when they announced new programming for children with special needs and have shown incredible solidarity with the autism community. If you're looking for a shul that is inclusive, welcoming, and accepting--this is your shul!

My family was very excited to visit this shul today (late-January 2016) after reading their web-site which claimed the shul offered a wonderful family-friendly environment (which we are looking for) . We were greatly saddened to find that not only was there no Shabbat kids programs offered, there wasn't even a room available for a toddler to play in which would allow my wife and I to take turns in the service. While searching the basement for kids programs, we ran into another hopeful father and his young child who were likewise searching for a program. He informed us there hadn't been one for several weeks. In frustration we left and went to the nearby Modern Orthodox Village Shul which truly is a family friendly shul (I have never see so many kids, youth, young adults at a shul)! The rabbi at Beth Torah may be great as claimed, but we wouldn't know, and are unlikely to go back to find out (at least until our son is much older). Unfortunately, I cannot highly rate a shul if it does not have a decent Shabbat children's program.
