We were originally booked at Berkeley Church for an April 4th wedding earlier this year. When the pandemic hit we chose a reschedule date of July 25th and we were determined to keep that as our day. The entire Berkeley team was incredible throughout this whole process (which was a relief given the horror stories we'd been hearing about other venues). They worked with us to keep our July 25th date to host a \micro\ Wedding. It was the perfect day! We had to change our venue from Berkeley Church to Berkeley Field House so that it could be outside, and it was just as beautiful. Berkeley kept us up to date on any changes that we needed to undertake, so it didn't feel like we were navigating this crazy situation on our own. Everyone had a temperature check upon arrival and masks were mandatory indoors and was strictly enforced. This was comforting for us to know that they were taking safety seriously. We had both the ceremony and reception on the deck under the tent, which has just been updated and has beautiful twinkle lights across the top. We were even able to live stream our Wedding to our family and friends who couldn't be in attendance. The food was amazing (we chose the short ribs and salmon) and we were even still able to have our apps that were plated at everyone's seat before dinner. Everyone working the event worked so hard to ensure that the day went off without a hitch. Allie was our coordinator for our new day and she truly went above and beyond to make it a special day for us (including setting up a surprise video our friends had made). While it wasn't the day we originally planned, we are so happy we decided to proceed with an intimate wedding!
Derek from the Berkeley Events was super helpful! The Berkeley Field House was the first site visit that my fiance and I went to. Derek was very responsive and informative - when you ask a question he would give you the answer clearly and any ancillary information that might be useful. He even provided us with some useful tips for wedding planning. I think we were very lucky to have met Derek and it set a good start for our venue hunting!
Beautiful venue. A little warm in the summer so bring fans or book for cooler months.
