In celebration of Black History month, our team at work decided to order lunch once a week from a locally owned business. M&J's was our week three pick, on a recommendation from someone on our team. I honestly have only the best things to say!! They were always very quick and attentive in their replies. You can tell how much pride they take in their business, their product, and their customer experience. Excellent customer service! They worked with me via email to put together a menu that was inclusive to all of our staff and their dietary preferences and restrictions. They were extremely kind and accomodating- and also, patient! The options that they put together were amazing and our team was so, so pleased with the menu options. Everyone on the team was impressed with their food today. Fresh, delicious, and even delivered to our door! All meals were labeled with staff names Making it even easier for us on our end. I can't say enough about the team at M&Js - an all around excellent experience. Highly recommended!

I have been to this restaurant a number of times, and the food is always consistent and delicious. This small business cares so much about giving their customers a good experience. The food is well priced, super tasty, and well prepared. I am plant based and I usually go with my meat eating friend. He has pretty high standards and is always pleased. Plus you are supporting a small business.
M&J’s Catering and Eatery serves extremely tasty and flavour packed food! It is not often that I eat vegan and plant-based foods but M&J’s food will definitely make me come back some more and try out the plant-based menu. Upon hearing the story and background of the restaurant, M&J’s eatery is a locally-Black owned business founded by Mahogany Duncan who strives to serve food for all. M&J’s does exactly that for the food on the menu has everything anyone can eat! From vegan, plant-based, and for non-diet restricted there will be something you will find for you. We ordered the Grated Vegetable Burger with Sweet Potato Fries and Caribbean Curry Jerk Platter for to go and they were incredibly delicious! The flavours and textures of the Burger and Platter were perfectly blend well together - giving a perfect harmony of organic flavours. The store owner, Mahogany, and staff were very welcoming and friendly as they delivered our order quickly during our visit at M&J’s. I look forward in trying the more of the menu! You guys should definitely visit and support local!
Everything about M & J's is magnificent. The food is amazing, they have a whole plant based menu (!!!) AND you can get everything made GF. This is pretty much the only place my partner and I can share everything and pick whatever we want off the menu. Everything we've ever tried has been delicious, especially the desserts! The staff is extremely sweet and kind. Couldn't recommend it enough \u003c3
Best spot in Halifax for getting into Vegan Food! I'm 100% a meat eater and my girlfriend loves Vegan. So its the best spot for us to grab lunch without compromise
Just happened on this restaurant when coming back from Bedford, we were looking for a snack and liked the look of the menu, so we went for a patty and roti. Outstanding taste, fresh and perfect blend of spice, and we'll be back for the taste of Jamaica platter as another guest was just being served this as we arrived and it looked lovely. Great service too! Qq - are you able to buy the mango dipping sauce by the bottle? If so I'll be back for a litre, it was wonderful
So, this place is normally great for vegan food. Every time I have dined in in the past, no issues at all. Ordering on ubereats though, I have gotten meat the last two times. The second time was even AFTER they added the (V) to the menu display. I just wanted some vegan tacos and instead got some dead cow :(
Always love the atmosphere here. The owners, former nurses, use their sterile technique skills to ensure there's no cross contamination for people with diet restrictions. The staff are welcoming and very accommodating. Highly recommend!! Love this place!!
