Can’t go wrong with deep fried dough! My family never misses this when they are in town. On top of all the deliciousness, they have vegan options as well.
You haven't explored Ottawa if you haven't tried a beaver tail. There are numerous different options and my favourite is the Bananarama. Customer service is friendly and quick. Prices are reasonable. The only thing that is missing is a nice spot to sit down and enjoy this pastry.

Delicious Canadian fried doughs with all kinds of topping options. I've found the cookie and vanilla icing option to be a bit too much (too sweet) for me but I loved the maple butter and the cinnamon sugar versions. The little place can get super busy where you may have to line up.
