I really enjoy shopping at thrift stores normally, but this is not one. First of all, they try to sell you literally. Anything. They are currently trying to sell a 20 pack of those free sugar packets you get at a restaurant for 1.95!!! also, they have this pretty basic older '1960's' clock in the front window for 158 freaking dollars. It's like they are trying to be an upscale consignment store without actually having any good products. Also their clothes organization makes no sense, there are seemingly no sections and nothing is labeled, also their pricing is inconsistent. They have no precautions for covid except the very basic minimum. They have a communal water jug with cups you can put your hands all over, plus the workers just wander the store touching stuff without any masks, and there are no restrictions or precautions for the change room. This is literally the only change room that I've seen during covid that has no restrictions. On top of all this the owner is very private about how much money actually goes to the SPCA and I believe that it is not a true charity shop. Very deceitful! Honestly don't bother with this place. Go 2 blocks down the street to Treasure Chest thrift store. They have great prices, well run, good finds, and they support Canada Mental health!

Be careful and do math before going to register. At first they were trying to charge 15 when lady added previous customers purchase to mine. The items I got added to 9.50 after tax. I tried to correct lady working there but after condensing response walked out paying less because her math was horrible!! Oh well!! Do not recommend, I'll be sticking to the thrift store around that have been around longer in new west.

My mother and I have been here twice, and the first experience was great, the lady working that day was very sweet, but today we were nearby getting food and decided to stop by and take a look around, and found a few things to buy. We had a fun time inside and were excited to come back, but we won’t be because the owner threatened us and told us to get out of her store, not to “tell [her] customers what to pay for [her] items” and leave after we bought our items, because my mom politely corrected her on how the tax on our items were supposed to be rounded to. Telling someone that a math amount is their “opinion” and trying to rip off customers at a charity shop is pretty shifty (plus the whole threatening your customers who paid you and treated you with respect up until we left thing also isn’t okay) and when we stated we unfortunately wouldn’t be returning (because again, we enjoyed the shop), she said “I don’t want you to come back, I told you you’re not welcome here”. We’re just a little peeved, and as a family that actively donates to the SPCA, having done so for years, and recently adopted a cat from the Burnaby location a few weeks ago, we’re just really disappointed.

It seems they'll be allowed to be open for some reduced hours 'these days'. No donations. Not surprising, 'these days'. I loved taking things there - 'out the door'. It seems that Judy & Jackie (sp?) could 'make a silk purse out of a sow's ear' - nothing wasted. And I made some very good purchases too. I gave a little 'advice' & that was well-received.
