There appears to be a lack of transparency for the business owner. The same vague answer is provided when asked where the puppies come from that they sell. These are not pure bred dogs. These are mixed breed. Mixed breed dogs for 3000 is insane and pure greed on behalf of the owner. She says they use only ethical breeders. And that they only bring a puppy into the store when a customer has requested it. That makes no sense at all. That is not how someone choose their pet. By saying, I want a small female who has some brown colour. So the owner would bring in a puppy that fits that description and the sale happens? Also, ethical breeders never sell their puppies in a pet store. First, If the breeder is Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) registered, it is not allowed. Second, an ethical breeder wants to meet the home a dog of theirs is going to. They don’t let a third party sell their puppies. \u003e\u003e\u003e this is how puppy mill dogs are sold. I spoke to a lady this weekend that bought a puppy from this store. The puppy had epilepsy and died. Do not shop at this store.

This place really cares about the animals and makes sure they are well cared for! The staff is super friendly and love catching up with the pets they gave forever homes to! I fell in love with these 2 (dark is Sam Winchester, blonde is Dean) I just want everyone to know, no matter what kind of animal you choose here, or chooses you in my case, these lovely people have your back!
My 10 yr old has a love of budgies. Started and bought our first 2 here poppy and Walter then bought a Joey then a Lexie and today added a paddy. We just purchased a 4 ft cage which my husband calls the budgie condo lol...would not buy our budgies and supplies anywhere else.
DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE. I purchased a standard poodle from Doogans in October 2020. I was given pictures of the male and female parents and the pictures were no doubt purebred puddles. After a couple of weeks I returned to the pet store and made complaint that the dog was not a pure bred poodle. There was never any discussion of registering the dog because he was to be pet and I would not be showing him. . I have had the dog for six months and have confirmed that the dog is a Golden Doodle. In calling Doogans to complain and express my disappointment I was told this happens and that the dog was “true to breed”. I will never give up the dog because he has stolen my heart and I love him but he was not what I was told I was purchasing and paid for. I feel Doogans was not truthful in their representation. Doogans would not share any breeder information which makes me suspect that this is a retail store for puppy mill dogs. I have a great dog but I am suspect to the background and distribution process. Very sad.
Doogan pet store was great. We bought our cockapoo puppy through them and the staff were helpful and very understanding. Toby is now 5 months old and has become the most important member of our family in his own mind. Thanks to all the staff!
