Good for kids
We showed up with no plan other than to explore. Oh and to get a park permit. These staff were amazing and extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I'll definitely come in to see these wonderful people again next time I visit.

Was a skating rink we didn't know about and we had a chance to go on. The kids loved it!
Confusing, many steps to walk up. Once at the top it will be crowded. There are two stations to ask questions. You wait in line and find out your in the wrong line, and have to wait in the other. (Hint: the desk to the left is for reservations only. The one to the right is for directions.) Parking is awful. Good luck there. Only really good thing is that the Employees are very pleasant, and helpful. Needless to say Bamff will not see me again.
I love diving to banff. Everything is so beautiful. The Banff Park Gate westbound after Canmore, collects fees that helps the Park Service. If your traveling to BC and not stopping the fee doesn't apply to you.
Bought my visitors pass here and also a can of bear spray which was very convenient to not have to shop around town for one. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Electric car charging in the parking lot also.

Banff Visitor Centre was closed when I went with my wife this time in the beginning of April. When I went there a couple of years back it was open and I got a lot of information from there. Now, there is a small kiosk outside who is giving park passes and information.
Majestic place to visit in any season! I've been in Banff countless of times but still I keep coming back.
