Had a great experience at The Grizzly House. We sat in the sunny front which seemed like a better choice as the back seemed to be quite loud with, what I believe may have been giant heaters. Even given that, it has a unique cabin style feel. The waiter was enchanting in his presentation style. Wish I had caught his name. We tried the fondue 4 course meal. It did not disappoint and we left feeling full. The beef is the highlight of the dish. It's pricey but worth it for the experience. Next time we will try the mushroom caps as another table had those and they looked tasty.

I’ve been going to the Grizzly house for well over 10 years now. It’s one of our favourite places in Banff. It’s such a fun experience and has only gotten better over time! On our last visit, we had Chris J as our server, and he was PHENOMENAL. It was one of our first times out at a restaurant since lockdown, and he made it so enjoyable. He really made us feel like our business was appreciated. All of the staff did. We will definitely be coming back to this Banff staple!
Fantastic service, fun experience and quality food! This was definitely a "treat yourself" kind of dinner. We decided to go all out and got the complete fondue dinners with a special side order of frog legs (mmm...swamp flavour). We really enjoyed being involved in the cooking process with the hot rock. We will be coming back again soon!
If you plan a visit to Banff, you need to stop by here for dinner or lunch. This place is a bonafide classic! Our most recent experience was phenomenal. Our server Dave was exceptional. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and intuitive. Our food was scrumptious and flavourful. The experience is unique and if you’re looking to experience something different, then this is the place to go. Great for a date or a large group/special occasions. Highly recommended!
This is the best place to eat in the heart of Banff!! By far a special and unique food experience 100% worth checking out! Had the exotic complete fondue experience and it did not disappoint. I also recommend the hot stone with garlic butter option over the fondue oil its definitely the way to go. And shout out to the Armageddon old fashioned drink they serve there I literally got goosebumps when I took my first sip! Enjoy people!
The cheese fondue is a must-try! It’s delicious and a fun experience for our family. We also ordered ribeye steak which was yummy and can feed 2 people. Staff are friendly and accommodating.
Great dining experience, our kids loved it. Awesome atmosphere, meats were fresh, fondue cheese was excellent. Soup started was delicious, salads were so good! The hot stone was the best! Chocolate fondue at the end was the bomb! Washrooms were very clean. Restaurant was clean. Great for a first date or bring the whole family!
Above all else, the service was top notch. Our server was a lovely and quite funny young lady. The food was stellar and well recommended by our server. It was a fun experience and we will be back to do it again.
