All I did was phone to ask for pricing as I could not find any on the website. I don’t know if I’ve ever been spoken to like that by any person at a retail store in my entire life. I actually felt as though I had done something wrong and personally offended the person that answered the phone by asking if there was a way I could find prices online. The gentleman was rude, abrupt, and actually interrupted me pretty much every time I tried to speak. The gentleman that I spoke with said that the reason they don’t have the prices on their website is because other similar establishments use Bakers Bird Shop prices for their own products. It was recommended that I come into the store to see what’s there. Sorry but no! If you’re going to try to encourage people to come in to your store it would probably be best if you had more friendly and approachable staff handle phone calls. In today’s day and age, the vast majority of people would like to look online to see if it’s worth going to a store in the first place. Or, sometimes people will call a store and end up having such a positive experience with customer service that they are compelled to come in and support a local business like this one. Technology is rapidly advancing and our ability to investigate different places in an effort to decide where our time and money are best spent is something that people covet these days. If you are trying to provide a more old-school business approach you definitely catch more flies with honey than you do vinegar sir.

We've gotten 4 of our 5 budgies from Mr. Baker (2 of them were rehomed to us, but were bred at Baker's) and we absolutely love our little buddies. As new bird owners a year ago, we had so many questions when picking up our birds, and Mr. Baker was patient and answered every single question. To the people complaining about the loud noise.. its a bird store, birds scream if you didn't know. Especially the bigger ones like African Grey's and the Macaws that are there too. We always enjoy visiting this store, and seeing all the different faces. We'll always support Baker's and Meikas! Shop local.

I'm not going to review the owner/staff (all two of them) other than to say I agree with most of the reviews on here, they are not friendly, nor approachable! There are all kinds of stressful stimuli in Paul's store. The Conditions in that store is super harmful to the health and mental stability of these birds. I noticed : over crowded, loud (screaming birds), less than ideal caging situations and to make things worse he is still breading them! It's impossible for them to give the attention they require and deserve to 40 birds in that little store run by 2 people! Most of the birds are stressed which you can physically see. plucking issues to most of them. I know they will say some came to them like that but had they been in the right environment, calm, quite and spacious space for them to fully recuperate, I'm sure a few of them would have a chance! I can imagine what your response will be, but there is more than enough people who have complained about the same issues, it's clear you don't care about the health and sanity of these poor birds and only in it to make money since you have over priced all of the birds. It's ridiculous! However I do feel there needs to be stricter requirements for Baker's shop in terms how many birds he can keep at ones and to provide better temporary living conditions with enrichment.

I see so many rewiews saying the staff at Bakers is rude and mean, but this is SO untrue! The staff at bakers are so kind and helpful when it comes to birds, Mr. Baker has helped me so much with my bird. Please dont listen to the negative reviews, Bakers bird shop is amazing!

Our first time visiting Bakers was not what we expected. We expected a typical pet store and got the opposite. There were so many birds that I couldn’t guess the names for, the gorgeous macaws at the front door seemed fake until they moved. We were thinking about getting a friend for our budgie, we saw colours of budgies we had never seen before. The owner certainly had vast knowledge of birds and told us we could get a cockatiel as a buddy for him of course he was right, they stay side by side(new humans are scary-fluffy bird). Definitely would recommend!
