Unfortunately we didn't get to explore inside the lighthouse as it closes at 5pm. The lady inside told us that once on the island, there is a 22 minutes video explaining the story behind it and then you can explore the lighthouse and climb to the top while looking at pictures and objects from its history. The rest of the island is also cute to explore. The entry is 12. There is also campgrounds around but I don't know how they work!

Great place to make a stop between Sept-Îles and Baie-Comeau. It's around 4-5 kms detour from the 138-S. It has a very beautiful scenery that reminds me Peggy's Cove. Ticket to visit the historic area and the lighthouse is 12 cad for adults. The lighthouse is very beautiful. You can also buy souvenirs, get some coffee of drinks and also there's washrooms. Great place for pictures and enjoy.

Informative presentation and nice way to learn about the history of this and other lighthouses established along the St Lawrence River and gulf coast. Not certain if their audio and video presentations are available in English (or other languages.)
