This is my 2nd stay in the resort. The rooms are beautiful, somewhat small and the furniture is old and I think needs renewal. The staff is friendly. The breakfast menu needs more diversity. This place will always be on my top list for places to stay in cape Breton.

Whenever Tracy Cavanagh plays at the Restaurant it is a must see. If you want the best live music in town that's the place to be. Even had to have the chowder too! So good. For those looking for an escape to Cape Breton for the service and music ambience. This is where you want to go..thanks for a great nice Tracy!

This is a beautiful setting on a lake in Baddeck. The resort is now in need of updates to the rooms and to some of the grounds area but this is otherwise a beautiful place to be in Cape Breton. The food was very good and priced reasonable. A great starting point to the Cabot Trail.

Winter Playcation ! A great option for a winter weekend getaway ! Excellent dinner and entertainment from the "Pub" on our first night. Our rate included brunch for two each morning (Sat-Sun) and it was delicious with great quantity and quality ingredients. The Big breakfast and french toast and eggs benedict are awesome ! The room was super clean but dated with older furniture and less than ideal lighting. The bathroom although very clean was also quite dated but for the rate we paid I could dismiss it easily while at the same time would be happy to pay more for an update washroom and room amenities. Highly recommend for snowmobilers. We rode our sled right off the property into the Highlands trail system. This was a big bonus. Also enjoyed the propane fireplace, chairs and wool blankets down by the water. Super friendly service from the waitresses at all our meals and check in and out was quick with no issues. Looking forward to seeing the rooms in the newly constructed lodge when it opens. We will be back for another winter weekend and we only live 50 mins away, Lol !
