I work right next to this location and got to be familiar with the staff which is nice! They remember my name even when I call and the staff is very friendly. This location seems to have a low turnover of staff (as far as I can tell) which means the employees must be treated well. I love the vibes of the restaurant, the music and the decorations. The food is amazing of course.

Legitimate Mexican food resto right in Nanaimo! Wasn’t sure what to expect as its location is at a strip mall / plaza - was pleasantly surprised with the great food quality, authenticity & lovely legit decor touches SOO happy that they served their Mexican drink Horchata (not an easy find in Canadian westcoast) and I ordered the tasty flautas. The rest of our group ordered fish tacos, veggie burrito, 2 more... no pics as everyone ate before I could snap one Our (Mexican) wait staff gave us complimentary chips & salsa - the chips are massive, crisp & light! I’m making a b-line for this place the next time I’m in Nanaimo (Follow me on Instagram @aida.loves)
Came up from Duncan for take out last week. When I called up earlier the staff were very friendly and accomodating. When I showed up in person I was treated like a King. Lisa is a rock star. Even helped me carry food back to the car. I was sold at the service I received and later when I got home the food was perfect. My wife is from Mexico city and for her to give a thumbs up to Canadian Mexican food is a very rare thing. Great job Baby Salsa. See you soon :-)
