What I appreciate about Awatin Aboriginal Arts, this business is locally owned and operated by two amazing business partners Ernie and Darlene Smith. I appreciate that are invested in their business and they both quite knowledgeable about all the products they carry. The layout in their gallery is amazing, a very nice open concept and there are so many treasures in the gallery, you will always find something new and interesting. I am very impressed by Ernie and his quality of work, especially with his custom jewelry orders. I have ordered two custom gold pieces from Ernie, one was a pendant and one was a ring. Ernie is one of the most talented goldsmith's I have ever met and I am absolutely honoured to wear one of his custom made gold and diamond ring (see photo).. If you are looking for quality jewelry, carvings or painting, please take time to check out this business.

Friendly, beautiful art gallery with a variety of works of art from First Nations artists. You can buy anything from a card to a carving, original paintings & masks, authentic coastal pieces to custom orders. Absolutely stunning jewelry that can be made to your specifications at a fabulous price. Soap, stones, feathers, dream-catchers, coffee, etc. even a little something for yourself. The owners have their heart & soul in the place and even if you just want a stroll along the waterfront you must stop in Awatin Art and say hi to Ernie & Darlene.

Beautiful handcrafted jewelry with gorgeous designs. I wear my necklace all the time and get so many compliments on it. There is so much to this store: from one of a kind aboriginal art pieces to local crystals, you are sure to find something you will love.

I walked into their store for the first time....about 6 mths ago I was interested in learning a bit about local native art and culture Ernie and Darlene are a treasure trove of knowledge. They are very genuine. They stock native art and artifacts, both local and North America Wide. Very Interesting and knowledgeable people. Also, Ernie is an artist and goldsmith himself. specialising in custom made native jewellery. Anyone serious about native art and culture should visit this location It is a true treasure in our community.

A beautiful store that is full of treasures. I attended a drum making workshop and I purchased a custom made ring. I love it there!
