I celebrated my PhD earlier this evening in this delicious restaurant. happy to tell that we passed a magnificent evening and the place was indeed the reason for this fruitful meeting. The waiters cooperated in a splendid style, the food was very good and my buddies were so cheerful. We shall definitely come back again for more joyful events. Thank you very much.

Absolutely horrible customer service and terrible food. We ordered Peking duck and upon returning home, we noticed that the pancake wrappers (that differentiate peking duck from just regular roasted duck from a BBQ shop) were not included. When calling the restaurant, they told me it must be my mistake that I don't see the wrappers (?!?!). They then said they could not deliver the missing part of the dish and would not partially refund us. The best they could do is give us a free fried rice next time. To give context, Peking duck costs 50 (with lettuce wrap) and a fried rice not only costs much less (10) but would require us to order again from the restaurant that had already treated us as though we made the mistake. The manager that I spoke with said that he didn't care about the lack of customer service and did want to lose money on another duck. Not only is the customer service horrendous, the food was actually disgusting. This photo of the sweet and sour pork shows that it was soggy, gloopy and worse than a food court rendition. As a Chinese person, I am mortified when Chinese owners care more about the bottom line than customer retention. I will not be returning. Ever.
The food there has always been consistently good, no complaints. That's why I gave it a three. The service during this pandemic is surprisingly bad , though. No online ordering from Don Mills, no one answered the phone when we tried multiple times, so we had to drive over. Half the time, there was no one at the front as they were running to the back constantly. It took awhile to give them our order as we waited for staff. There was a dozen people waiting there, either in line or for food, and we'll have to wait a half hour to pick-up. Love your food, folks, but get your act together during this wacky time.
Overall a decent experience. The food quality was on the average, and thus consistent, side but this is expected from a chain large format restaurant. Very spacious and roomy with tall ceilings. I like this location. Soups are always a good addition to the meal. Stick with the classics.
We've really enjoy dining here for a couple years now, and have had a great & courteous experience with the service staff. We usually come out on a Thursday, which is calm and quiet, which makes it really enjoyable. I do sympathize with a few of the other reviews, but have found our times here exceptional. The kitchen has been bery kind to be mindful of our food sensitivities and allergies, too!
