Over the four years we lived in Midland we had 18 pictures framed at Artistic Dimensions, many of them original oil paintings by my mother. Tina was invariably a delight to work with, and the results of her enthusiasm, artistic sense, and beautiful execution now hang in our Toronto home, and the homes of my brother and two sons. Though framers abound in our Riverdale neighbourhood, two new watercolours are presently on their way from Toronto to Midland for Tina's special treatment.

If it's something you care about take it someplace else. I brought a drawing of mine for framing that had been accepted in national landscape museum exhibition over 3 weeks before the picture was due for delivery. I got a call a week later saying the frame stock I chose was not available. I went in and chose something else. I heard nothing until the day the picture was due to be delivered. I went to pick up the picture. I didn't like it. Instead of leaving a traditional 2 inches of mat around the drawing there was barely one inch. It looked awful. I realized that they didn't want to cut into a second 8-foot length of frame stock to frame my drawing properly and so I had to accept it, pay for it, and deliver it to the museum where it will hang with other works in competition, no doubt unsuccessfully, because Artistic Dimensions needed to make a maximum profit from my framing job. They don't care about your work, just their margin.
