Robin's Harbour Cottages consist of three fully-equipped cottages located on the quiet side of Arichat Harbour virtually on a dead end road with the ocean directly across from the lane from their location. We have stayed at the cottages over several years now. This side of the harbour is where sunsets are best viewed on Isle Madame. If you stay here, bring binoculars so you can enjoy watching the osprey feed their young in the nest they built on a nearby pole. Or stroll the beach across the lane just in front of your cottage. Or watch at the lobster fishing boat being followed by a cloud of hungry gulls as the crew drop and haul up their traps of catch. If you're lucky, you'll be there in time to watch the pods of pilot whales that come into the harbour following schools of mackerel each summer. Take a stroll to the marina, a minute's walk down the lane, to check out the sailboats tied up at the docks there. You can even buy fresh fish fir your next meal from fisherman Big Louis' fishing wharf, another minute down the road. The cottages are spotlessly clean and cozy. The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable. You'll need nothing but to bring your food and wine. ( yes, there is an opener!) If it's an evening bonfire you want, wood for it can be arranged and you can bring the adirondack chairs provided to the firepit on the premises. If it's a messy feed of lobster or snow crab you are looking for, the barbecue for your lobster boil and picnic table for your feed come with your cottage. The owners/ operators live a few doors down and someone is always available if you need anything during your stay. This is a family operation with strong ties to the area and its history. Any questions you have of the region and what to do there can be directed to them to get accurate and detailed answers. We highly recommend these cottages on beautiful and historic Isle Madame.
