If you want to learn to ride track, all you need is an open mind, some comfortable shorts, and a glove for your right hand! While this track is a training ground for world-class track cyclists, a lot of normal people are welcomed here as well to try out track. There are some bikes in a range of sizes available for rental, as well as helmets, and you can use your own cycling shoes (bring your own pedals!) or use sneakers with the toe cage pedals already on the bikes. This is a 333m outdoor concrete track, so dress appropriate for the weather, but the track does close when it rains. Contact them in advance to find out when the next intro session is (or drop in session for experienced riders from other cities). Rates are very reasonable.
great track, plenty seating for observing, accessible washrooms and water and parking. playground nearby for kids to play at and plenty of nice people!
