Dear you, who was fortunate to find this Ashram in the wide space of the world wide net. This could be the start of a (your) transformative journey towards a benevolent life lived in peace (with yourself and the world)... At least, visiting the Ashram was opening my eyes to see the world in all its beauty and find my way with the suffering inherent in it. Their teacher training goes far beyond learning some Yoga poses and Sanskrit words. Then Yoga is a way of life and they live it!! Authentically and wholeheartedly. I am always astonished by their dedication to their practice and to their commitment to make it accessible for everyone... Grateful that I followed the call to this stunning, serene and wild place with its generous and loving people, I cant help but recommend getting in touch with them wherever you are on your journey!

Anuttara is a truly special place! The ashram is indescribably beautiful, offering a chance to slow down and experience a different pace of life. I stayed for a week retreat and spent a fair bit of time reading, relaxing and exploring the property. I'll always remember my solo mountain gazing hikes. The yoga they practice is simple and gentle, and is a style I am still exploring years later. This place is really really worth a visit.
I was blessed to have spent 2 months in 2019 volunteering on this wonderful ashram so when I saw they were hosting an online 100 hr YTT course I signed up immediately. I am so happy I made that decision. This course offers live classes as well as recorded for those who cannot connect. There are various styles of yoga, beautifully guided meditations including Shinrin Yoku (forest bathing), philosophy, anatomy. Study of the Hindu text The Bhagavad Gita & Q&A sessions to help you along your way. Weekly share circles so you can come together with others on the course to open your heart & share experiences. Plus much, much more. The teachers are all so knowledgeable & loving & are on hand to assist in any way you may need. There are written assignments too, so this is an all round, full bodied, meaty yoga course to really sink your teeth into. Beginners couldn't wish for a more comprehensive 100hr taste of the true meaning of yoga. Teachers get an extra 100hrs, plus a heartwarming & honest reminder as to why we became teachers in the first place. This amazing, certified gift is offered on a sliding price scale so it is affordable to anyone who wants to gain a deeper understanding of themselves & humanity. Quite frankly I cannot think of a better time to dive into the heart of awareness. Thank you so much Always Golden.x
This place is truly sent from the divine. The humans who call this place home are all so genuine, so real and so safe. I have visited multiple times and find myself always feeling the desire to return. The lineage is true and genuine. The freedom to be exactly who you are is strong. You are welcomed as a friend and you are given a space in which to grow and deepen your practice. The energy is lighthearted and fun, the food is made entirely of love and hard work, the rooms filled with smiles and humour, but also with respectful silence and grace. This is a place of true healing.
Anuttara Ashram is the perfect place to deepen your practice, learn about authentic spiritual lineages, and meet like-minded people. There is a supportive community of karma yogis, great food, and a beautiful atmosphere to unplug from modern technology & dig deep into personal practices. BONUS: There are tons of beautiful sites to visit near by!
Anuttara Ashram is so welcoming, peaceful, nurturing and honestly life changing! Going for any length of time will leave you feeling so much more whole then you felt when you arrived! Give you're mind, body and spirit some love and pay them a visit! I promise you will thank me!
This place has a way of beating the demons out of you :-) and when you sincerely commit to the ashram’s spiritual practice you will recover your soul from the illusions of the world (Maya). Living a vegan lifestyle there only for a week made me stick to a plant-based diet after leaving since I learned a lot from their awesome philosophy and yoga classes. My private queen cabin was very clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated with a vase of flowers, tealights by the window sills and art on the walls—they even leave you sage and incense sticks to burn if you wished to use it! Tip: you can request a mosquito net to help you sleep more peacefully through the night (they don’t tell you that)! I enjoyed washing my face at the stream every morning and filling my water bottle up with natural spring water at the start of each new day. Bathing in the forest during a thunderstorm is also an adventure I never had before! There’s also a perspective to be aware of inside of the sacred mountains that will wash away the unreality.
I recently just graduated from Anuttara Yoga and Meditation Teacher Training Program and am blown away by how much we learned in a short amount of time. From the moment I arrived at the Ashram, I felt welcomed and like family. The community atmosphere really makes you feel at home. The training went beyond any expectations that I had, it was so much more than just teacher training - we learned so much about ourselves in the process too. There is so much more to practicing yoga then what just happens on the mat and at Anuttara, they really helped us to understand that concept. The only downfall during the course was that we experienced a drought, so water was a little scarce for showering, etc. But the ashram handled really well and brought in water so we could continue with showers, etc. It also helped us to realize how important it is to be mindful of consumption. I recommend this training for everybody - even if you have no desire to teach, you can learn so much more than you thought you can. And also for anyone just wanted to get away from the city and to reconnect with nature - this is the place!
