Nolan is an excellent teacher with very good qualifications. He has a lot of patience and demonstrates good technique. I just got back into guitar after a 2 year long break. Nolan was my previous teacher but I planned a short hiatus because of a life change and it turned into a way too long hiatus. Anyhow Nolan started the first lesson off great by going with where I was now. I was very happy to get back into guitar with Nolan after a huge break. Annex Guitar is the only place I wanted to go because Nolan is a very kind and knowledgeable teacher. I highly recommend Annex Guitar!

Nolan at Annex Guitar Lessons was an ideal teacher for me as an absolute beginner. He took the time to find out what my goals and interests were, then crafted a lesson plan to teach me the basics, while keeping me interested with actual songs that were fun to play. He struck a good balance between being patient, while encouraging me to make progress each week. I had to stop my lessons because of other demands on my time and attention, but I would recommend Nolan to anyone who wants to improve their guitar knowledge and skills.
This has been a great experience! I was nervous to start learning guitar as an adult but Nolan was really patient and a great teacher. I've been taking guitar lessons with Nolan for a year now and have gone from strumming a few basic chords to being able to play and sing most of my favourite songs! Nolan is patient and has a way of explaining complicated techniques and theory that makes it easy to understand. His website for booking lessons is awesome and he is very flexible and available. It's been a fantastic experience and I look forward to learning more from him and highly recommend Nolan to anyone out there who has dreamt of learning to play the guitar!
I've been working with Nolan for 3 years now, and I keep going back because he genuinely cares about the music that I want to learn, and immediately knows what tools he can give me to help me reach my goals.
