Searidge has an amazing program but what really makes the place is the clients you are there with. The staff are amazing people who genuinely care for the clients and there progress. I spent 73/90 days there and the only reason I left was due to the two-faced snake running the center. Shes money hungry, an alcoholic and completely unhealthy for clients and staff alike. I was one of the many clients to report the smell of alcohol on her breath to Quebec (the head office) and in turn I got kicked out with only 3 hours to pack my things. Until she is replaced with another director you are safer going to a free facility. I was concerned about my safety and clients that is why the complaint was made. I am proud to say that if it was not for the support staff and counsellors I would not be alive today, but nothing nice can be said about the alcoholic director or the people running the show in Quebec. Your money can be spent elsewhere

When I arrived at Searidge, I was on death's door. I was physically and mentally broken. I can't thank the staff at Searidge enough for everything they did to help me to become the woman I wanted to be. I struggled with alcoholism for 7 years, and I have been clean since I left Searidge about 1.5 years ago. I was very touched when the director asked me to come back about a year ago just to make sure that I was continuing on the right path. The staff cares so much about the clients. They always went above and beyond for me, whether it was making arrangements to get me to Searidge, taking me to get a jacket at the store, making a special meal for me when I felt sick, and helping me to reconnect with my family that I had lost during my years of alcohol use. Thank you SO much to everyone at Searidge! - Hannah

I got a lot out of groups because I could share my feelings, experiences, and hopes for the future openly without feeling judged. The therapists run the groups in a way that I felt safe to share as much or as little as I wanted, and I got so much more out of the groups because I participated and got a lot off of my chest that I have been holding inside for years. I had so much guilt and shame built up inside, but I feel a lot better after talking about it and telling the truth about what I've gone through, and a lot of other clients could relate to me, and I could relate to them. The therapeutic outings on the weekend were so refreshing because I am so used to using \to have fun\, which really wasn't fun at all, and I could see a bunch of new ways to have fun on these outings. It was so nice to go bowling, swimming, site-seeing, horseback riding, antique shopping, or even for a simple coffee and chatting with other clients and the staff and realizing that living with a clear mind is so much better than being under the influence. I could not ask for a better place to start my recovery journey. I know that all of the staff at Searidge are excited for me to start a new, clean life and will continue to be there for me. They have all been so supportive, positive, and so much fun to be around. It is hard to seek help because of the stigma and shame that comes with addiction, but I honestly felt like I was at home when I was at Searidge because the staff care about you and your success so much. After returning home, I have already heard from some of the staff members who have checked in on me to see how I am doing, and I have only been home for a few days. The aftercare program is a great way for me to stay on track. Thanks again for everything.

I had to come to Searidge twice before I was able to beat my addiction. I had also been to multiple rehabs before that. I can't say enough good about this place. All the staff there were awesome. The director always kept in touch after or had other people call to make sure I was Ok. She seemed to always answer anything I needed 24/7 lol and I could be a lot...I only took 1 star off because nothing is perfect, but as far as rehabs go this was my best experience especially having a private room and the cost is much more reasonable than most private places.
