Wonderful hike, not too busy. A bit slippery at the top in the snow. Go prepared for snow and ice.

Absolutely great hike, even on an overcast day. Some of the vistas don't offer much of a view anymore due to tree growth. It's 16.5 km if you go around Buntzen, too--our young dog must have done 25 km running back and forth between the young people and the adults. Even the 10 year old terrier made it all the way on her own.
Nice hike near Port Moody. Steep slopes and uneven trail path makes it little difficult to hike quickly. So, keep some extra time to move at your own pace.
Did this hike in the rain, our group was pretty inexperienced, and it was a tough go, weather report had hinted that weather was going to clear out, it didn’t happen for us. Did it without trekking poles but wish I had ( the descent wAs a bit rough on the old knees). Markers as tiny but there are a lot of them, sometimes on knocked down trees which can make them hard to find, but definitely plentiful. Our group is not the most athletic bunch we just started doing “ real hikes” and this was on the challenging end, took a few breaks.
Really enjoy this hike. Ended up doing it twice in a week. Seems like a good training trail as well. I did once with cloud cover and again clear sky.
