Absolutely gorgeous, the dogs had a blast and the hike was great
Buntzen Lake trails have been reopened between 8am and 7pm. Lake access, beaches, dog beach, picnic areas and docks have reopened. Some trails are one way. Access to trails is from the east side of the lake (near the dog beach). Hiking trail status Buntzen Lake Loop trail – counter clockwise. There are several exits to the gravel service road you can take back to the parking lot if you do not wish to complete the entire loop (about 5 mins, 20 mins, and 45 mins in.) The entire loop trail is about 2.5 - 3 hours for a moderately fit person. Energy trail – closed Diez Vistas Trail – one way trail system in place. You will need to hike the east side of the lake to reach the entrance to this trail, so add about 45 minutes to your total hike time. Lakeview Trail – runs north to south (accessed from the north). You can access this trail by hiking the east side of the lake.
