Always pleased with the staff and price at Animal First. They really care about your pets and are knowledgeable and compassionate. When my kitten broke her leg they gave me all the options and stayed calm to help me make a decision. We ended up getting her leg pinned and it turned out great. She is happy and healthy! They also reduced the price significantly to help which I will be forever grateful for. Great place to take your pets!

booked my puppy in to get neutered, and they cancelled it because of a scheduling error. that was fine so I called them to rebook and they said they had to call me back. never did. called again to book and it seemed fine, but then they called again because of another scheduling error. I wanted to get my pup neutered almost a month ago now, just seems very unorganized. I like the vet! he's great! super personable, but he's moving away.

I cant say enough good about this group of professionals. We have a ferret that needed a canine extraction. We had always used the Grande Prairie Animal Hospital in the past until now. the Animal Hospital charged 90 to look and then quoted me another 850 to extract the tooth. This left me broken facing my little girl that I was going to have to put her pet to sleep. I called every place I could find across northern Alberta to try and find a realistic solution to this tooth. I found it at Animals First! The amazing vet had awesome bedside manor and energy, the staff were amazing, and extracted the tooth at a fraction of the price. crisis obverted! I cant thank you enough for the smile on my daughters face! I would be honored for this facility to take care of all my pets needs moving forward. Thank you

Truly Putting Animals First. I have been in GP for 26 years and I have had several vets for my babies during that time. Dr.Barth and his staff are second to none, in customer and patient care. From a phone call to see how Bu was doing after his neuter, to having a script ready in 20 minutes after discovering dog lice, to understanding I only want the best for my companions. Sasha was on meds for high anxiety, but after switching her to raw food she no longer needs them. I know I have the support of Dr. Barth and his staff to help me keep these two in top form.

The absolute rudness of the vet on call was astounding. I can appreciate that being on call is difficult, but there is no reason to brush off pet owners like their call is irrelevant.

I called on a Tuesday at 830am because my cat ate something he shouldn't have. I had him there by 930. I had to drop him off and leave him there. I went back at 2 because they hardly ever answer the phone and they still werent done doing nothing with him. charged me for an emergency vist, total bill was over 440 for an x-ray and sent him home to wait and see. 2 days later my cat starts sneezing. All I got from this vet was more debt and now my cat has an upper respitory infection. They also charge 50 for an after hour phone call. Way to hit people harder during these trying times already. The only thing that impressed me was the tech texting me the next day to see if my cat had ate any food yet or had a bowl movement. But for the price they charge there better be follow ups.
