I was a gymnast with the Hamilton Gymnastics Academy for 12 years. I started in the recreational program and moved to the competitive shortly after. This gym has become a second home and family to myself and many others. Over the years, I had many amazing coaches that always went above and beyond the help make me be the best gymnast I could be.They were patient and took steps to help me learn new moves. They taught me to work hard and to believe in myself. They were passionate, dedicated and knowledgeable about the sport. The Hamilton Gymnastics Academy taught me many life skills that I carry with me today. Gymnastics builds self confidence, teaches you to be organized, hard working and determined. The facility has amazing equipment that is perfect for all ages. If your looking for a gym in the Hamilton area I would highly recommend the Hamilton Gymnastics Academy.

I am beyond disappointed with this gym. My 6 year old daughter has been going here since she was 2 and has not learned a single thing. The classes have been the exact same for 4 years without any advancing. She hadn't even been shown a bridge or cartwheel during her whole time here. We finally pulled her out from here this year and changed to a much better gym. Within the first few weeks she's doing cartwheels and starting back walk overs. The coaches at this gym have zero interest in the children or in teaching them. They don't even look as though they are gymnasts themselves. They are bored, uninterested teens who are only there for their pay check. My daughter had one other child in her class and I watched as they sat on the beam with their coach for the last 15 minutes waiting for the time to pass. The coach hardly even spoke with them. They just walk the children to each station and stand there daydreaming while the kids struggle to work each station alone. Seriously think twice about registering here and try another gym. Your money deserves to go towards gymnastics classes your child will actually learn and enjoy from. I'm so disappointed I didn't change gyms sooner.
At first seems expensive, but it is a long \season\. Been taking my kids for years. Some good coaches, some not so good. For young kids find the program too repetitive to keep my kids interests.
Both our daughters have been attending HGA for years! They like the coaches and the no stress atmosphere.
HGA is a great not for profit organization that promotes the sport of gymnastics for children of all abilities and teaches to their individual needs and goals. My two daughters and our family have a 35 year relationship with HGA as competitive athletes who later became certified coaches to volunteers in every possible capacity. Not only did they learn fantastic gymnastic skills, my girls learned about setting goals, taking instruction and accepting correction, amazing life skills that they have taken into their chosen professions. They learned to help out their team mates, and to be proud not only of their own accomplishments but those of others. The staff and coaches at HGA have a great love of their sport and the children in their care, and always keep the children's physical and emotional safety as their highest priority. I would recommend this organization to any parent looking for a safe and nurturing environment for their budding gymnast.
